Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain cycle race came through Radcliffe-on-Trent last Saturday morning (8th September) and the riders toiled up Shelford Road past the Methodist Church. Like so many places along the route, the front of the church was decorated with yellow bikes and bunting and there was even a yellow car in the car park!
The event coincided with the Community Cafe, which raised funds for Action for Children, so the premises were buzzing with activity. In addition, hot dogs were made and sold in the car park, those proceeds also going to Action for Children.
Altogether, it was a very enjoyable church and community event that will be remembered for many years by those that were there.
